    How to search for servo's

    Hi,
I'm looking for information about retrofitting a BP series 1 mill. It's already running on mach3 but with the original steppers and drivers. I would like to replace them with servo's but I haven't got any experience with servomotors. Can anybody explain me in detail how I have to search for matching items for the retrofit? What kind of motor would be the best AC or DC? What kind of driver do I need? What should I do with the power supply? How can I connect the drivers to a computer with mach 3? Etc. And where can I buy the stuff cheap?
Any help would be great since I don't know anything about it.

    Thanks,
    Bart

Why remove the steppers if they are working?

    Hi Jeff,
I would like to replace them because of the problems I have sometimes with the steppers. Blown transistors, wasted SMD boards. And you won't see it when your are loosing steps. I like te feedback from servos.
