Exclamation Starting program in fanuc 6m

    Hi

I just installed a 1981 yasda YPC 45 machining center. The machine is in mint condition.
    Anyways here comes the problem.
When i fire up the machine everything seems fine. I do atc chek and table ready. I set the mode to MDI go to COMND move a page down, to start a block. I punch the desired code and press INPUT.
When it is done (and here`s the pickle) i press start and nothing happens.
I`ve tried everything i can think of i`ve turned the machine on and of sevral times. But sudenly this morning, when i turned the machine on it worked.
I used the machine for some time and turned it of.
When i some time later turned it back on again it`s same old same old.

That said i have no experience with fanuc controll what so ever.
So i might have got something wrong from the start. But i`ve read the user manual and can`t see that i have.

Anyhow any suggestion why this could be.

In MDI did you enter EOB end of Block?
Does the START light come on?
No end of Block, no START light.
If START light, then program is hung up on a command.

Sorry to say Al either i din`t get when to press EOB or it didn`t work.
(The first reason is probably the best explanation.)
But since i didn`t press EOB in that glorious moment it actualy worked.
I suspect something else to be the reason.
I do suspect a slightly defect start button. But i also suspected every other button to be defect intill i knew how to use them

And you mentioned a start lamp i can`t really identify one.

PS: i added some screenshots. maybe some of you who has seen how the scrren shuld look like kan identify if you see something suspicious.

EOB is a button and a semi-colon is entered at the end of a line before ENTER.
Usually the MTB puts a light in the Cycle-Start P.B.
To test the buttons you can go to the diagnostic page and look at the inputs to see if one changes from 0 to 1 when pushed.
