How much suffering can u have?

    Hello y.al<br><br>i am new here, My name is bob and i am about to go crazy..............<br><br>Here is my story..............i know my english aint that well<br><br><br>About 6 weeks ago the drama started...........<br><br>I have a small woodworking company making furniture and stuff and i have a sort of associate that told me CNC is the future. I was a cnc metalworker butt went nuts in the stinking black hole a metal shop is ( no offense to the metalworkers there work is art) had a time out from machining and went in the drilling bussines. Never was home so i started the woodshop. already had a cnc ( small one) and lots off stuff. anyway i invested in a bigger cnc. a masterwood project 316k. the machine was cheap cause it had an error. So i called masterwood holland and the guy said he knew the machine and the error was minor......Buy the machine and we send u a mechanic right away!!!! that was problably in another timezone or dimension cause i bought the machine and the guy from mw holland never picked up the phone again? why? i dont know. i called there office and the where so busy i was next over 1.5 month...................associate keeps calling me for new orders that i have to pass............so i booked the mechanic for over a month and in the menwhile try to figure it out myself......emaild the headoffice in rimini and had a response in an hour.....i said can u help me with an electrical schematic.? &nbsp; yes we can the said.........and that was about it......after 1 week i started mailing again and the didnt gif a f... no more answers......fault code was 0.0.0090 e stop nobad thing......so i booked another mechanic cause i had cancelled a few more orders........he came.....whent nuts on the wiring. and about 5 hours later he saidd he didnt know...never seen em again even no bill..........meanwhile i got an email from masterwood holland if the machine was connected to the internet.....i said no....the said then we have to fly in a mechenic from italy to make the connection???????? i said nooooo......so that was it for masterwood holland so i booked another mechacic. that guy fixed the first issues.....no more 0.0.0090 butt then he got to the real error. 2.1.1009 saw wrong way.....geuss its a fase fault and he just wrote away the saw and drills in the parameters and whent awal.<br><br><br>now my qeustions are........<br><br><br>am i a dickhead cause i am really starting t qeustions myself<br><br>and anybody knows what error 2.1.1009 is?<br><br><br>sorry for the story&nbsp;

Unfortunately,it's been about 7 years since I've used a Masterwood. There should be a help button on the screen that explains the error codes, and will tell you what the 2.1 is. I'm guessing the 1009 is an input, maybe input 9?

Is this machine from around 1995? Does it have a DOS control?

You need to find someone very familiar with those machines, or someone that's really, really good? Do you have a manual or schematics? If not, it'll be even more difficult.

While these were very good machines in their day, I would not recommend buying one, unless the intent was to do a complete control retrofit.

I bought the masterwood cause it was cheap....butt also because older machines have a superior stability . Have to start somewhere. And with software tricks u can do a lot. Butt i didnt expect the ignorance and the carelessness of masterwood. The fight ik am having makes me more eager for victorie. I have manuels and everything else Butt its such a complex machine. i know the frist 2 stands for: plc error. Second nummer 1: üser plc and the 1009 when i look it up is saw wrong way. Butt what do u mean by input 9?

    Thank u for the reply!

    Its a 97 cn7 control

If you know what the error is, disregard what I said about input 9.
I was thinking it might be a timeout error, which usually specifies the input number in the error code.

You might be able to get some help from Masterwood USA. They're local to me, and is who provided parts and service for the machine I used to use.

Hi....just my two pennoth worth........wouldn't it be better to rip out the entire electronics controls system and install some more modern stuff......by that I mean if you were building one the same size that is what you'd be doing.

I assume the machine in question is a CNC router.......how big?

There is only just so much stuff to drive and control the various axes......by doing that yourself you can learn and do your own trouble shooting as and when the occasion arises.

By the way you've been treated by the "professionals", you have nothing to lose...........DOS is as dead as a Dodo.....time to get modern.....parts are also easier to find.

This is a machine that cost $100,000 in 1997, and has an incredibly complex electronics and pneumatic system.

What do you mean the machine can't measure that? Is there oil in the reservoir? That should be the oil for the auto lube of the ballscrews and linear bearings.

Re: How much suffering can u have?

You're going to need something that converts to g-code, and has a post processor for the cn7 control.
And I suspect that it won't work well with large files.
