    Series 1 Bridgeport w/TNC151 control

Hello out there, I bought an old Bridgeport Series 1 with the Hiedenhan TNC151 controller. I am try to get it to move. Could some one post a sample program in conversation mode so I can see it work, I have little to no documentation. Also can you switch to G code by just changing the key pad and going to ISO? Any help would be appreciated. Mark

TO program in iso you first have to switch the control over I beleive you have to go into the parameters by pushing the mod key to you get to parameters somewhere there is "program input 0 is for conversational and 1 for iso (g- code) push the del key it will say power interupted press ce key then it will say dc voltage missing then you have to traverse over the reference points and then you will be rocking I have a tnc151 on a series II and program it in g code i don't have a keypad layover I just have a piece of tape to reference from after awhile you just remember where each key is all the manuals are still available on heidenhain website this forum is has a wealth of info in its archives just keep searching

Thanks for the info, could you or any one else send me a short converstional control program so I can see if this machine even moves under a program just 10-20 lines should do it I would guess.

    Thanks

    Go to www.heidenhain.com
dig about and you will find all the manuals for that control for free download. You will also get the generic parameters which will let you see which one to change if you wish to use G code.
Personally I feel that most people would stick with conversational if they gave it a try first.
