    AS3000 3D Level 5 CAD/CAM Software

Hello, I am new to cnc machining and I am looking at purchasing AS3000 3D Level 5 CAD/CAM Software by CamSoft. Has anybody used it? I need a software package that will let me do cad drawings from scratch, and of course do cam and dnc. Can any of you help me? I will be using it on a victor v center 4 with a fanuc 10m controller. Thank you

I bought Level 10 back in '96. Camsoft stopped development of AS3000 back then and it is essentially a dinosaur. Unless you can get a seat for dirt cheap, and I mean cheap, pass it on. With all the inexpensive cad/cam software readily available now you will kick yourself in the head if you buy it. It is decent software and for basic programming needs it works, but it is dated in technology way back to the mid '90s and support was never good when I needed it. For the price it is a poor investment. Just my 2cents as a former user.

I bought the ver5 some years ago when they had sale, if they have not upgraded since then, it had some bugs in the roughing routines etc. I could not get any satisfaction in getting it to work 100%.
