    Question Slow Homing/Wrong direction

    Equipment:
Motors: Two IDC S21T wired in series
Drive: IDC S6002 (Dual Axis Microstep Drive)
Indexer: IDC 961 (Single axis indexer)

    Motors are mounted vertically.

    ----
    | 1 | (spins CW)
    ----

    ----
    | 2 | (spins CCW)
    ----

    Issue:
I power up the machine, then run a homing program. Both motors move about 1/4 normal speed during the homing process. Then I run my standard program and motor one spins the wrong direction (CCW). I've found that if I just let the machine sit for about 20-30 minutes then try to home/run it operates normally.

Any ideas on the "warmup" issue?

    Bump...anyone?

The troublesome motor now "sticks" occasionally the first time or two I run it.
This is a boring head, so the stickiness is throwing off my radius.
