I've got a new Viper software update for anyone who bought a drive previous to Dec 15 2008. These features protect the drive to prevent the drive and motor if drive is left pushing too hard or repeated slamming against a limit.
Its version 2.5 which adds
- Better current control to protect the drive
- Faulting if encoder error exceeds a set limit.
- Encoder failure runaway prevention.


The update is free, the customer just pays shipping. Please don't send drives by UPS or courier since customs charges usually are charged. Fedex is better but package must be properly labeled.
Please label the package 'Returned for Repair, Made in Canada' so it doesn't look like I'm buying them.

I'm also adding a 'Feed Forward' command as well. I will be testing it in the next few weeks. This will decrease following error as speed is increased.
