Exclamation Padovani Labor 255 lathe, thread plate wiped by solvent

Hi everybody & Happy New Year !

A machinist has wiped the plate of his lathe (padovani 255) the one with threading information table, and asked me to look for it on the Net... i didn't find any info on the Net nor a precise picture of that plate, so help is needed here !

If you have a user's manual for that lathe or if you can provide me a "readable" picture of the threading table's plate for that lathe, it will be a GREAT help.

    Thanks !

    Hi everybody !

I saw the thread plate today & it's only the Metric threading table that's wiped, the imperial threading (INCHE) is still looking good.

Please, is there any way to reconstitute the metric treading table from the inche threading table ?

    Thanks !

Hello Werner, welcome to the Zone !

You would do a great favor to my friend if you could take a photo of the aluminum plate which has the threading numbers on it.

My friend who has this machine is unable to do any threading on his lathe after his younger brother has wiped that plate by cleaning it with gas-oil. He has lost all the numbers and all the feeds which were written.

Please send me as big a photo as you can take of the plate behind the levers, if you can't upload it to the forum because of size limit then Zip it. I will try to print it on the aluminum plate of my friend's lathe.

    Thanks !

Can anyone provide me a high resolution photo ?

    Hi,

I have found a photo of the threading plate of the Padovani Labor 255 lathe, but it is in low resolution & illegible

Can anyone send me high resolution photos of the plate shown in the picture, I need to re-print all of the tables & markings on the wiped plate.

    Thanks !

    Hi Ztiggi,

Yea we still need the threading chart of the lathe, you would be doing a great favor if you could provide a good photo.

Is the lever with the digits 1-9 on the upper plate ??? I think the upper plate was not wiped on my neighbor's lathe...You might be in luck.

    Thanks !

Wow ! Many thanks for the pictures Ztiggi It's much appreciated

I'll go to my neighbor's shop tomorrow to see the lathe, meanwhile if you read this post, try to use the picture in post #9 to indicate the lever you are talking about (sorry it's not my lathe & I never used it) otherwise I'll try to describe it to my neighbor so he can tell me which one it is, otherwise, I'll take a picture of all the levers that are not wiped.

Again, many thanks for the good pics you've sent !
