Grid shift or X datum move.

I have always always from setting up days to training had it so my X zero is the center of my ID pot.

IE you never put an X offset in a drill.

Now this new company i have started for, have a few habits one of them being i believe its wrong Q setting the side of drills as the X zero is out.

This is a straight 2 axis lathe.

    Puma 250

To get the zero back i can input the value in the External offset, or i used to use parameters to correct this but i cannot remember the parameters.

Also once this is done i will need to reset the Qsetter for them, any ideas on the parameters for this as i cant find the manual.

    Its a meldas 500l series.

    Thanks

I know this is an old post but ....

    ACCESSING THE MACHINE PARAMETERS

    1. GO TO THE ALARM/ DIAGN SCREEN
    2. PRESS THE PLC-I/F MENU
    3. KEY IN 1001 FOR THE DEVICE, CURSOR RIGHT 2 TIMES AND KEY IN M UNDER MODE
    4. PRESS THE INPUT KEY, AND THE (1001) ( ) ( M), WILL DISAPPEAR
    5. GO TO THE TOOL/ PARAM SCREEN

These parameters are from a M625 manual the numbers may be different but the parameter name should be the same
