I have always always from setting up days to training had it so my X zero is the center of my ID pot.
IE you never put an X offset in a drill.
Now this new company i have started for, have a few habits one of them being i believe its wrong Q setting the side of drills as the X zero is out.
This is a straight 2 axis lathe.
Puma 250
To get the zero back i can input the value in the External offset, or i used to use parameters to correct this but i cannot remember the parameters.
Also once this is done i will need to reset the Qsetter for them, any ideas on the parameters for this as i cant find the manual.
Its a meldas 500l series.
Thanks
