the plasma cutter in this video is homemade isn't it?

i'm curious to know if this gentleman is still active on these forums and if there's a way to contact him. This rig and its overall design would be absolutely perfect in my hobbiest knife shop i'm putting together (i'll still be doing some manual forging, just want the blanks cut out to save on my overall time)

anyways, i'm curious to know what he used as his ways, the size of the motors needed for this project (i'm eyeballing the nema 23 package on ebay right now, controller, motors, power supply, software) and the design of the table itself... its very grainy in the picture and i would love to know if anyone has any stills of the machine, most importantly its key parts (bearings, motors ...)

i thank you all for your time, and hope that i can become a member of this organization in more than just name very soon.

i think, for the sake of seeing if i can even do this, that i might build this project first:

just to see if i can make a little one work. then i'll put the money into the big one.

Utlimately the biggest problem i'm having is finding affordable linear systems. In the first video, the linear bearing appears to be a L bar thats just been machined clean for the gantry, while the long runs on the sides of the table appeared to be U channel.

Insights on finding solutions for these would be EXCELLENT. i'm at a loss for finding anything long enough that won't cost me over a 1000 dollars! I'm too small time to make an investment that big, even though it'll save me hours of work in the long run.
