    MM to Inch?

    Can anyone telm me how to change the "machine position" to display inch. I found out how to change the position screen to inch but the machine position still shows mm. Can anyone tell me how to change this?

    Thank you

    System parameter 3104 bit 0 I think. Be very cautious of altering system parameters and always backup your system parameters before making any changes.

    Re: MM to Inch?

    Hello from the future! What worked for me on my Fanuc Series O-T (in my case) was parameter N0001 used to be 01100000 , now it is 01100001.

    xxxxxxx0 = MM
    xxxxxxx1 = Inch

    Hope this helps someone else some day. Chip had the right idea.

    OK I finally got it figured out! This worked on my Fanuc OT.

    Change parameter N0063 , bit 0 from zero to '1', or 00000000 to 00000001

    In other words:

    ---No.------DATA--------
    0061 00000000
    0062 00000000
    0063 00000001 <--- this guy controls this inches/mm setting for machine coordinates. 0 = mm, 1 = inches

    happy parameter hunting!
