We have had good luck with our Fadals milling mostly soft steel and aluminum up to 5 axis. We are always looking for spare parts If you have a broken down Fadal give a shout.
Are you sure it was the fan and not the fuse in the back control box?
Just sayin. :stickpoke

I just replaced my spindle fan on a 2006 4020 10,000 rpm machine. I had a Com Air Rotron Model MR2B3 PN: 28245 6.75 dia 6.375 hole center. I purchased a replacement from Allied Electronics (WWW.ALLIEDELEC.COM) due to the Com Air being out of stock. It is an Orion OA172SAP-11-1WB (Allied PN: 592-0082) at a cost of $40.70 ea.
I had to use the juction box and connector pins from the old fan to interface with the factory 2-pin plug, but a small price to pay for saving nearly half!!
The fan works great and is quiet.
I also have a 1992 3016 10,000 rpm machine with a different type of spindle fan.
It is a:
Bodine Electric Company fan.
Type: 42X3BFSI
No: S0716207
115 VAC
1 PH
2.4 A
60 Hz
1/12 HP
1700 RPM
Best of luck to you and I hope this reply helps you or others.
Respectfully,

Thanks all for your responses, I checked the fuse after I looked at the fan which had smoke coming from it! I also bench tested it, the windings are shorted). (thanks MC)
I’ve found a “COMAIR PT2B3/28254 ROTRON FAN 115VAC 235CFM NEW IN BOX J3A2.” I e-mailed the place to see if it is the same as the # PT2B3 115V .27/.28 A 30/31 W. ( thanks Carbidecraters) ( they are 14 weeks BO )and the same size, 172x51 or close enough. I was wrong about the fan I thought it was.
I’ll look into Allied’s Fans also (thanks James)
