    Hello, Just wondering if anybody has, made a aquarium before out of acrylic or plexiglass....

    Just wondering if anyone has a dxf file from which they used to construct the tank.

    Cheers

    Here is a Wikipedia thing about what is probably the biggest acrylic aquarium ever made;

    If you have never worked with acrylic you are embarking on a very ambitious first project. My guess is that a 200 litre tank would need to be made of something like 1", maybe a bit thinner. It would be possible to solvent weld it together on all the joints but this is not a trivial task and needs plenty of experience.
    An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.

    i work with acrylic everyday, just not with plexiglass or pespex and nothing involved with filling it with water, so i understand the process involved
