    Serial number in variable?

We have a 2005 EC-1600 (along with a dozen VF machines as well), and I am working on a subprogram that will generate reports from the machines. (probing data, offsets, etc.)
Is there a variable in the control that stores the machine/control serial number? I would like to be able to have the subprogram report a unique identifier (machine-specific) with each report, and it seems like the serial number would be the best thing to use.

    Thx!

I think you should read something from : #6001-#6277 these are the settings variables ( READ ONLY ), I haven`t access to the machine right now but you should find that one.

Is there a specific format to the Serial Number that I can identify?

E.G. YEAR? X# of Digits separated by dashes? E.G. 2007-0000-000000-0000?
