    Viewing files created in NX5

Hello, I am an undergrad research assistant at a major engineering university. Part of my research requires me to create drawings to send to the guys in the machine shop so they can machine the parts we need for our experiment. I am using NX5 to create 3-D solid models of the test parts, then using NX5's drafting application to create draft drawings and saving these as .DWG files. However, when I send them to the machine shop, where they are using Surfcam, the files are all messed up, with the various views messed up or missing, extra junk cluttering up the screen, too many layers, etc etc. In short, Surfcam doesn't like NX5. I have tried various methods to get around this bug, but to no avail. My DWGs look fine in NX5 and AutoCAD 2007, its just Surfcam that doesn't like them. Has anybody else heard of this problem before, or possibly know of a solution? I can email you the files if you like. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Save your UG-NX file to be X_T parasolid file and send to them.

Exactly. This is what I used when I ran Surfcam. I think most folks will tell you that parasolids give you the best translated models.
Hey, why's it going over there?!!

Thank you. I'll try that and see if that works for them. I've exhausted just about every other option, and was getting ready to start boning up on AutoCAD and use that instead of NX5. Hopefully the parasolids will work.
