    FANUC O-TD data transfer problem

I just got a Yang lathe cnc with a FANUC O-TD interface and Im trying to transfer code from my labtop to the FANUC via Predator CNC editor. I am able to transfer code from the FANUC to my CNC editor but when I transfer data from the CNC editor to the FANUC nothing happens on the FANUC side but the CNC editor says that 100% of the data has been transfered. Any suggestions on what is going on?

Possibly a bad connection in the cable? If you have an ohmmeter, check pin 2 to pin 2 and pin 3 to pin 3 (9 pin to 25 pin).

If the LSK symbol stays on while the Predator system is sending data, it may be that the control does not have the ISO code option installed. Fanuc considers EIA code to be "standard" and ISO or ASCII code is an option (really!). Try setting the Predator system to transmit EIA RS244 tape code and see what happens. It may be that Predator is able to receive OK because it has automatic code recognition. If the Fanuc also has auto code recognition, it would be reading OK. See if EIA works.

Another possibility is that the Predator system is not sending a LF (Line-feed) character at the end of each block. Be sure that it's set up to send LF as an EOB character.
