Question Cincinatti Arrow 1000 Down For the Count

    Hi Guys,

I'm at the Oregon Institute of Tech. and have a Cinci With a Acro 2100 control and on start-up the other day, it got through the initial screens, but when it started to load windows, the monitor went black and I got just a cluster of white pixels on the black screen. When I turn it off, it goes through the 30 seconds normal time, then shuts off. I expect it is the op sys or the hard drive. Any suggestions on how to start. We changed out the motherboard batteries and I'm worried about backing up all tables/params before moving ahead. Thanks for any suggestions. DC: [email protected]

Have you eliminated the monitor as being the problem?

Did you have both batteries out at the same time? We did that once a few years ago and it gave us big trouble.

If you want to rule out the monitor - I think you can hook one up externally to the control. Make sure to unplug the current one.

I just had this problem and it turned out to be the real time board. Hope this helps.
