    Couple of MX3 Questions

    Hello Guys,

I'm fairly new to MX3 (mastercam and this field in general) and I'm trying to learn new things everyday. I got few questions, maybe you guys can help me out.

    1. How can I go about making a Chamfer Cut (let's say .125" 45 Degree). It's already drawn out - I want to know what toolpaths I need to use to make the chamfer cut.

    2. How do I get rid of those extra tool movements, because the cycle time is over 30 minuets for simple operation.

    3. How can I drill hole at an angle?

    That's it for now.

    Thanks a lot!

    1) would mostly done as a 2d contour set for chamfer.

    2) you have to give a sample file of what you are doing as each part and path has different options.

    3) are we talking 3+2 five axis positioning or a hole on a rotary table?
(Note: The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not necessarily those of CNCzone and its management)
