    MeshCAM vs. Deskproto

I've been looking at DeskProto, but found that since it is prototype software it does some rounding when creating the part so the part that ends up being machined may not be within tolerances.

Does MeshCAM have this same type of issue? Is this something inherent within the STL file type?

In short if my part is 4 inches wide will it machine 4 inches wide no matter what type of bit is in the router/mill?

Meshcam will create the part exactly how the STL file is. It dose a very good job of creating g-code.

DeskProto shouldn't be doing any rounding. Perhaps the resolution of your .stl file is to low?
