I have a Hardinge Bridgeport VMC1000 p3 with the high torque option that I have been having trouble ridged taping with. I keep hearing a rattling noise as the tap is on its way out if Im running above 600rpm.The last time it did this I tightned the belt and the problem went away, this time it didn't .The machine has over 8000 hours on it so I figure it's time to change the belt.
Has anyone had to do this, and if you have what do you have to take off to get to it?

I am also looking for the proper procedure for belt change on this machine. It would be greatly appreciated.
