    TOOL CHANGE PROBLEM

    Hello to all,

I'am having a problem with my KIWA EXCEL mill with FANUC OM-C.
This is a arm type toolchanger with a 24 tool caroussel. So when the tool changes from T1 to T2, T1 goes in the pot where T2 was.
My problem is that sometimes the Diagnostics of the tool does not change so my tools get mixed up even though the tool did fisically change.
So when changing from T1 to T2 the diagnostics stays the same. I have had this a couple of times with a crash folowing. So all my trust in this machine is all lost. I don't know where I should be looking to figure this out. I just don't know what makes the diagnostic change. Is it a sensor?

    Please help me. Thanks

Yes it is a sensor. Your problem is intermitten which makes it more difficult to track down the culpret. But if your tools are getting mixed up that could really be bad for the operator as well as the machine. I'm afraid you might need a technician have a look at it. They can hook equipment up to it and monitor settings while you are running it. I know they are not cheep but not having your machine perform like it is supposed is more of a problem and even more expensive in the long run.
