    FANUC 6T ERROR 401 SERVO

    Hi,
    I have problem with ERROR 401 SERVO from Wasino LG71 machine.
    It is FANUC 6T.
    I don't have any manual but I think it is DRIVE or MOTOR error in "X" or "Z" direction.
    I am thinking about replace my spare SERVO drive or motor.
    HOwever, I had similar problem with other machine before and did the replacement but did not solve any problem.
    So can anyone give me advice if there could be more problem than just the drive/motor or is there a setup problem too?
    The PARAMETER seem to be there (although the machine did not run for quite period sometimes).

    Is 401 Error servo X drive?
    402 Error servo z Drive?

    What is the part number on your servo drive ?
    Do you get any alarm leds on drive?

    Drive/Motor model Fanuc problem

    The Drive is verlocity control A06B-6045 Fanuc
    The motor is A06B-0614-B031 (2000M) DC servo.

    The drive has no LED and beside the alarm SERVO 401....I can't see any other indication of fault.

    Any suggestion?

    Check that you have 100vac between terminals 3 and 4.
    If you do, see if both contactors on the drives try to pull in.
    If both contactors pull in and drop out again, pull the main fuses and indicator fuses on each drive (note do not remove fuses on front circuit board and if this is a slant bed support the turret so the axis does not drop.). See if the control comes up.
    If control comes up, replace fuses on one drive and try again.
    Post results.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the first advice.
    I checked the fuse and definitely they are still good.
    However, you were right that the magnetic contactor did not work although there is a 100V between terminal 3 and 4.
    And even when I press manually for the contact to close and alarm 401 SERVO went out, but the new alarm 404 pop up!!!!

    Attachment is the alarm LED that I got.
    LN-2 (2NC005P1-1) board: LCD#3 and 4 Lid
    Relay CREM, CRDM, CRAR, MA, CREMG all shown RED LED.

    Before I power up the control, only 1 LED relay lid, CRDM.

    Any clues or hints is much appreciated it.

    Do not push in the contactors manually.
    I ask did any contactor pull in then drop out?

    I don't think the contactor ever push in and out.
    So there is no Voltage supply to the Servo Motor.
    Any idea why?

    Check for 24vdc +15vdc -15vdc on the servo board.

    1) Check the Input Voltage at A,1 &2 for 185 or 200v depending on the model of Drive
    2) Check the 100v at 3&4
    3) Check the Loose connection between the Base unit & control card of Axis Drive.
    4) Check the Loose connection between Axis Drive & Master PCB.
    5) Axis drive contactor getting ON and OFF immediately and gives the alarm.
    If everything is O.K.
    Problem in Axis Drive. Normally Auxillary contact & Contactor problem will be there.

    Dear Sakthivel,

    tha alarm 401 is instantly triggering when I try to On the control in my
    mori seiki lathe with fanuc 6t old control. The velocity control unit No. is
    A20B-6035-H422/H423. Just wanted to know the whether the voltages mentioned above holds good for this VCU unit.

    I have one Hitachi seiki 5 NF CNC turning center with fanuc 6 T Control it is having one problem That the cable betweeen Master PCB(CAV 50 Pin Honda Connector) to axis drive(CN1)ox X and Z axis ate by rat. I connected The cable after repair as per the circuit diagram of cable . Now when I switch on the machine I got Alarm Servo 400. I checked there is no overload tripped, 130 V ac is normal on input terminal of drives, +15 v, -15 V , 24 Volts are also Normal in servo PCB (Both X and Z). The connection of cable i checked thrice and found the cable OK. But the contactor of Drive is not getting on . Please help me that what to do ??
