    Ball screws

    Newbie just getting started.
    Do ball screws need to be a matched set, tpi, lead etc for CNC operation. I located plenty of solo screws that will do the job for the right price.

    No, usually the resolution for feedback is programmed in the control, unless you have a specific application it is probally best to stay to the lower lead pitch, 4 or 5, the higher ones 1 & 2 usually require a very low inertia motors.
