Our machine shows door open alarm while door closed. We replaced door switch with new one but that is not the problem. Any one has had experience with that particular problem?

check your I/O board (side door behind the nc rack)
it is mounted about chest high on cabin wall (it has the wide ribbon cables)
or
check your E/S board for a faulty discrete input.
good luck

Thanks mdynac. I will check into that this week and let you know. The door switch has two independent Normally Closed contacts so we will have to follow the trail of both.
I don't know if this was solved. But just to let you know. Their is 2 contacts on that switch in the fron door, Upper left if the door is the sliding type, and upper right if it's the swing type.
The 2 contacts on that switch are labeled 11/12 and 21/22.
One is 24 voltsDC to give you the alarm Dorr Open. And the other is 110VAC to turn on the UPR section. If you ever got the UPR commutator defect or similar 909 alarms. This is where it comes from.
Now if you have a large spool option ,you might have another switch witch is in series with the front door swtich. Just like the old Christmas lights when one goes out the all do.
So check both switches. if you need to bypass them in the control. email me [email protected]
CT tech is perfect.
I had the same prob, the machine will stop during operation saying the door is open. My friend sugested to check the wire points above the doors and bingo, just shake a bit, the error vanished.

We took off the 851 4500C board and observed this burn. Is this caused by a problem with the same board or with something external? I do have a spare board but do not want to take chances. The voltage measured at some points in the board (ex. door switch imput) is 30V. I thought it should have been 24V. Any ideas as to which is the root cause of the burn on the board?
Thanks,
well that burn looks quite serious......
you just may need a new one....but it needs to be evaluated....
