    PROBLEM IN LOADING MACHINE DATA FROM PAPER TAPE READER

    MY SYSTEM CONTROL IS SYSTEM 3 SIEMENS AND NEED HELP.
    when we restart all system with defult machine data, how we doing load its machine data with paper tape reader ?

    are need setting specific machine data to readying for connect with it?
    or need special opratory ?

    Yes Friend,

    You got to modify the parameters 411 and 412 for Data in and Data out to suit yr Paper Tape Reader.

    pl ser the bits 411 and 412 as follows :
    bit 7 and bit6 for no. of stopbits.
    bit 5 for type of parity
    bit4 for parity bit
    bit3 for DSR evalution is used or not
    bit 2, 1 ,0 for baud rate setting
    before loading the tape you have to clear the machine data and to set up the control as per manual
