    What Motor do i Pick ???

    I am building this cnc router table and i think i might have over did it and now i am having a hard time finding motors big enought to power this
    i want some servos and gecko drive thay say thay are the best

    i have now
    Thomson Linear Guides are 25mm and i have 4 berrings
    Thomson Ball Srew is 1inch and 4 turns per inch

    the gantry will be about 500 Pounds

    and i want to go 90 to 100 IPM with 1G aceleration and about 2500 pounds of force
    and i have a 2.25 to 1 gearing
    and a 72 volt 20 amps power supply

    can anyone help me please i dont no ware to buy servos
    can someone point me to ware and what motor to get please

    1) Why do you need 5000 lbs of force??

    2) You do realize that ~500ipm or more is a much better speed for a router.

    3) I believe that you only need 500 lbs of force to get 1G of accel.

    opps i ment 2500 pounds of force
    and i want to go 100 ipm

    my gantry is 500 pounds

    Found an italian 'magnetic BR60'
    Weighs a tonne.
    52v at torque peak.
    nominal current of 9.1 amps
    peak torque current of 53 amps
    back e.m.f max is 176v

    I'm hoping a gecko320 pushes it.

    It would probably fold your router frame up like pretzel at full torque.
