I need an adapter to mount a Taig 3 jaw chuck to a Sherline rotary table. Can someone point me in the right direction as to where I might find something.
Thanks

I thought Taig uses a 3/4-16" thread, just like the Sherline, only with a shorter thread length... but I don't know Taig too well.
If they're the same, shortening the end of the Sherline chuck mount will work... sorry I can't be MORE helpful, but I thought I'd post what I know.
Edit: A quick check at LittleMachineShop and such reveals that the Taig IS 3/4-16, too.

Taig and Sherline share the same type of spindle -- 3/4-16. Although the Taig has an unthreaded section just after the hex area of the spindle (used to "register" the chuck), the 3/8-16 to 3/4-16 chuck adapter (Sherline part# 37090) that came with your rotary table should fit Taig chucks. Because of this unthreaded section Sherline chucks do not fit Taig spindles properly (i.e. does not bottom out) without some sort of spacer.
I use the adapter that came with my Sherline rotary table to mount my Taig 3 jaw. Aside from the fact that you have to watch your cut direction or things unscrew, it works just fine.
