    Spindle Grease ?

    Hi guys

I would like to re-pack the spindle bearings for my CNC Milling machine before putting it to work. It has a double set of Tapered Roller Bearings and spins to a maximum speed of 3,000 rpm’s. Any idea of the best grease for this application?

    Thanks for the help.

    Kluber Isoflex NBU15
Don't put in to much grease beacuse the bearings will go hot. Usually no more then 30% of the free area should be filled with grase. Check your bearing data.

willy we bought ours from Stork Canada in montreal
they have it in "toothpaste" tubes, greasegun cartridges
and 1kg cans as well as large contains for those that need it
the tube, 100ml (if I recall correctly) is more than enough to do
several spindles. as Per says you don't need much per roller.

It's been almost 5 years since i've worked at the MT dealer so I
don't know if stork still carries it

Barden sells NBU 15 under the part number G46. It is available in 30cc syringes. Another Kluber gease thety handle is Isocanol under the G75 part number. It should be available from a local bearing supply house that handles precision ball and tapered roller bearing. 3000 RPM sounds a little high for tapered rollers
