I am using solidworks 2006.
Using sheet metal to design parts to then cut on my plasma table and form in my press brake.
I am having a problem with holes in my sheet metal parts not showing up in my material.
I am opening a drawing of my solid part and selecting flat pattern, then saving as a dxf. when I then open in sheetcam I get a part that has the holes not located on the part. I am puling my hair out here. What am I doing wrong? I also have torchmate cam and when I open in that software I get the same problem that is why I think I am doing something wrong in solidworks.

What version of DXF are you saving as?
I find that version 2000 never gives a problem.
Although, I have never tried SheetCAM and don't know if any of my suppliers use it.

I have tried it in 2000, 2002, 2004 Nothing seems to affect the problem.

Even if I open the part in autocad and save from autocad, it still has the problem. But when viewing in autocad the drawing is correct..

I am kind of thinking it has something to do with how the holes are located in solidworks.

Here is a pic of the part in flat and how it shows up in sheetcam after saving as a dxf. You can see just the 3 holes across the bottom of the part are not where they should be.

Ok,
Did some testing. If I flatten my part and then put the holes in, it works ok. but the only problem with that is when I veiw my part in it's bent form the holes don't show be cause they were created after the flat.
I know It's probably something I am doing wrong in SW when I am drawing my part.
