    step and dir pulse

Hi i have a table with 4 g201 .I have the 260 oz rexstep motors i dont think they even offer those any more. My question is everyone says to set the pulse to 2 but my motors just chug at 2 if i change it to 5 for both they move fine. I am running a 3 to 1 gear with a 1" pinon gantry weighs about 45 lbs i have the x slaved with a , and running 48volts . I was wondering is there something wrong with my electronics if i have to keep the pulse at 5 . not only that i can only get about 120ipm before losing steps any suggestions on the pulse would be high appreciated , i am also running the mini io breakout board.

In Mach3, ports and pins, set STEP 'active low'. Use a breakout board from either Bob Campbell Designs, CNC4PC, PMDX or C and CNC. Others may not be compatible.
