    Using fine cut consumables
    Hypertherm 1000
    1/4" mild steel
    Nozzle 220329

I know these consumables are designed for thinner materials but...

    What parameters are you using?
    Ipm =
    cutting height above material =
    amps =
    psi (air) =
    pierce height =
    pierce pause (delay) =

Energy, what type of part design are you trying to cut w/ the finecuts?
Below is the charting one should follow for the fineCut consumable set.
The biggest problem you will run into w the fineCut consumables on this unrated thickness will be the pierce damage to the nozzle. If you were edge starting you could most likely acquire a very nice cut with a chance of much less consumable life at about 50 amps.

Have you had any feedback or luck trying this out ?
I am tempted to try this out if I can find some free time in our lab.
