    Question Makino Toolchanger slinging tools

    Hey everybody!
I have a Leblond Makino CNC Machining center w/ a 20 tool changer.
It has just started slinging tools out of the tool changer on one side.
The other side has had no problems.
Is there an adjustment on the thumb? It is spring loaded when it is in the retract position. I think it locks in when it grabs the tool but I'm not sure.
The hand section (where it cradles the tool ) has some wear but no more than the other side.
    Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
    John

It might have broken springs behind the thumb ,or wore out springs.if there not broken put a couple of washers beheind the springs.

Had this happen on a matsuura to me, and there was some CAM roller that was broken.

    Thanks, Guys.
I had the cam roller problem before when one of my guys hung the toolchanger on something. I think the springs are the problem. Both thumbs feel about the same pressurewise, I probably replace both of them. Just not sure if there is something that locks them in place when they are in the pick position. We had it hang up on a locline the other day and I couldn't pry the thumb back at all when it was in the pick position.
    Anyway,
    Thanks again!
