    digital calipers - coolant-proof

I think that everybody who uses coolant has the same problem,
Still using cheap chine made ones ... very cheap, OK but tired about - few days and ... take a new one, sometimes even after five minutes you need a new.
What exact digital calipers are coolant proof ?
    Or is it impossible?
    Thats because professionals using "oldies"

    Regards,
    Herbert

Look for calipers that are rated IP67. These will cost a lot more than the cheap ones you're probably using.

Here are the ones that I use. Excellent set, they have been completely submerged in coolant and still trucking along after 4 years.

    Coolant-Proof Calipers

You might be able to find them cheaper if you look around, but the price isnt too bad for what you are getting.

    Danke!
Now I have four coolant proof calipers - hopefully in next week ;-)
Also Mitutoyo already bought - got for EUR 45.99 included shipping - not bad?
    Cheers,

As most of world need cheap ones, so The Chinese supply very cheap products. But some factory in China also make good quality products.

You may choose IP 54, they are much cheaper. if you don't work under the water.

Go for the 8" / 200mm, a couple of dollars more, you won't regret the decision
I find the 6" useless at the best of times
