    MV-40 Tool Changing Errors.

We have a Mori MV-40B with Fanuc MF-M4 controls.

we are experiencing two seperate problems.

    (1) - When T1 is in the machine and we run a program that uses T1 we get an EX0202 SPINDLE TOOL COMMANDED error. We have been getting around this by having the machine pick up T2, then starting the programs.

    (2) - We are only able to use T1, T2, and T4 - if we try to use any other Tool we get an EX0201 IMPROPER TOOL COMMAND error. We have not been able to figure this out.

I appreciate you taking the time to help in this matter.

    1) D548.6 change to '1'
    2) Press Aux/Graph Function Key to enter "Menu".Push softkey for "Tool Number" to enter into Tool Selection Page. You need to assign T code to the appropriate pot and "write" to keep data.
    Good Luck!

The tool in spindle alarm is a keep relay. Don't know what one off hand but that is the normal factory alarm if the same tool is called up in the spindle. The keep relay's are in the back of the Ladder book.

    Thanks for your help DB

We were able to fix the tools (problem # 2) with your help.

I am not sure what you mean by D548.6 - I can't find this information anywhere.

I am not sure yet what this means, but I will look into this week.
