Report Survey #2 - Motors (rated)

Thank you to those who provided input on categories in my Survey #1 thread. I have collected those and made a list.

I now ask that you would copy the following list, paste it into your reply, and then give each category a rating of 1-10, with 10 being absolutely important in deciding, and 1 being "I couldn't care less". (also, multiple categories can have the same numeric value if they have the same importance in your mind).

There are no right or wrong answers here. I am simply looking for what characteristics YOU look for when picking a motor.

Please see the next post below for my example response. .....THANKS!

    Accuracy
    Closed-Loop Control
    Cost (purchase price)
    Current Draw
    Inductance
    Maintenance Cost
    Noise
    Power Consumption
    Reliability
    Repeatability
    Speed
    Torque
    Working Lifespan

Hmm basicly the same as JRouche. I have been doing calculations for a huge milling machine project, and current/power draw is a big concern.

Accuracy - Agreed with JRouche. See CLC
    Closed-Loop Control - 10
    Cost (purchase price) - 5
    Current Draw - 4
    Inductance - 1
    Maintenance Cost - 1
    Noise - 1
    Power Consumption - 4
    Reliability - 10
    Repeatability - Again CLC
    Speed - 8
    Torque - 10
    Working Lifespan - 10

Thanks for the great input guys! This is really helping me get a sense of what is important to other people (which is the point of the project). I will be using all of these responses in my project, so if anyone else is willing to respond, please do so!

    Thanks!
