    Cylinder threaded in the side?

I have a question and don't know where it would go.
What do you call the cylinders that have a threaded hole in the side of them?
I was thinking barrel bolts, but that search just yields sex bolts.

These things are used in knock down furniture and cam levers and likely elsewhere as well.
    Thanks.

Dowel Nuts. McMaster Carr has them. You can buy small packages at Rockler and Home Depot.

Isn't it marvellous how fast you can find something with the correct name; thanks Ger.
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.
