Anyone have a good reference for Daewoo lathe parts? I need a tool setter.

I just picked up a Daewoo MSA 200 PUMA which is missing it's tool presetter as well as it's parts catcher. A previous owner took it off to rebuild another Daewoo machine which needed those parts.

Can anyone recommend a good parts supplier for Daewoo lathes?

    please view this site

    Hi Sam,

Thanks for your reply. I've managed to find a parts catcher, but I think I need to get a tech in to see if my machine is even configured for a toolsetter. I note that the Q-setter switches aren't even there. There are plastic plugs where the q-setter switches would be so I think my machine never had one. Even if I find a q-setter I think I'll have to figure out how to set the parameters to make it available.

    daewoo

I assume your machine has an arm for the tool eye,,,
pull it down, switch into jog and see if the control shifts in to pre-setter mode.

Are there wires going to the tool eye ? (through the shaft)
try using m code to bring it down try m80 or 81 look in your manual.

an aftermarket brand is going to cost you $375 for a new one.

    good luck

I have a feeling that my machine never had a toolsetter. I popped off the cover panels and find no wiring for it and the switch positions in the control panel has plastic plugs in it. Bit of a bummer.
