Who makes a good gap bed lathe???

Our company is looking for a replacement of one of our manual lathes. something in the 24 in swing with around 120 in between centers. I'm looking for comments as to what you guys think are good. This will be a production machine running at least 2 10 hr shifts a day 5 to 7 days a week. Thanks for your input.

Our company has 2 24" Leblond Makino's that are over 20 years old and they have been in production the whole time. Other than general maint. and little things here and there they have run the whole time. About 5 years ago they bought a Clausing gap lathe it was only 15" but it has held up well. I'm not sure if Leblond Makino still makes manual lathe now that I look around on the net. I'm sure you can ask a machine sales man if they are still out there. I personally have a 1989 15" Leblond Makino Regal servo shift and I love it.

    Well thats my two cents,
    Nick

I have never been done wrong by TOS machines.
I also cant seem to go anywhere without finding at least 1.

I have a 36" Sirco which also is a respectable machine although not as heavy as a TOS.
