    v bearings in at VXB

I was just notified that VXB is now carring v bearings to use on the Joe's 4x4 and many other designs here on the Zone...Check it out here is the notification

V Groove bearings and U Groove bearings were introduced this month, and can be used as track bearings or linear guideways. Imagine the unlimited applications at http://www.vxb.com/page/bearings/CTGY/V-Groove-Bearings and http://www.vxb.com/page/bearings/CTGY/U-Groove-Bearings.

Has anyone used U-groove bearings in their projects?

I am thinking of using 12 mm U-groove bearings with 12 mm drill rod from McMaster-Carr.

IMHO the v groove gives a wider range of rail configurations. With the u groove you would most likely have to use a precision rod instead of a off the shelf hardware angle iron. Using the angle you dont need the support that is needed under the drill rod.
