4th Axis Rotary, Brush or Brushless

How can I tell the difference from a brush or brushless Haas Rotary unit?

A neighbor has one that I could borrow, but I need a brushless to run on my machine, and it is an older model.

If you can take a look at the motor, the brush holders are usually visible to the outside, either 2 or 4 at the rear of the motor.
Not always applicable, but if it is a square motor body with heat sink ribs, it is DCBL or AC.
Or even the drive itself could be marked with the type.
A DC drive has two power conductors to the motor, DCBL/AC has 3.

you can still run a brushed motor from brushless drive amp. Just need a conversion kit.

Brush type has a single plug, brushless has two plugs. You can get adaptor boxes to go both ways I think; brush type on a machine with brushless 4th and brushless type on a machine with brush 4th.

Send me a PM if you do not get sorted out it is possible we have an adapter not currently in use.
