    Unhappy Cost of Cermark products

I've been quoted a New Zealand dollar price of $351 for one 15m roll of 25mm wide Cermark tape. :violin:

    This works out to $us
224.22 which seems a bit excessive compared with the $us99.89 that Laserbits currently show for the 1" tape. (225% markup?)

There are similarly high prices for the spray ($nz 212.62) and paste ($nz 335.25) (nuts)

Anyone know if Laserbits sell direct to NZ, bypassing the distributors listed on their site?

    Any other suggestions?

    Bob

    Bob,

    Checkout Engravers Network.

Look at the bottom of the page for the tape products.

They will ship USPS Express Mail International.

Excellent! Thank you Jeff, I'll contact them. :wee:
I see they only ship aerosols and the paste within the states though,
    oh well...

    Hi Bob
I have had dealings with Laserbits in the past. So you should be fine dealing with them. The problem you going to have is that no one wants to send Cermark or Thermark by air. I had the same issues you having and in the end just had to swallow the Kiwi markups. Afraid that's the price we pay for living at the bottom of the earth. I did a quick check for you and I brought my paste from Auckland Machine Tools. They were extremely helpful and they certainly had the best price around, that was in March 2009. Give them a call.

    How about Lithuania?
Victor, of Litografa posts here frequently.

While my shipment from them did have problems, it was because of the distance between out two countries, and the postal 'service' in each.

    You might have better luck!
