    Converting to full CNC

We have a CNC process in our sheet metal dept. We have three Sharp LVM-50/MP milling machines with accurute millPWR.

    Some stupid questions:

Can programs be saved on these consoles?

    Does everyone save programs?

Is there a reason not to save programs?

Can these be connected via DNC to a dedicated programming PC?

    What software is recommended?

    Is there any freeware available?

    Thanks!

Yes, you can save to the machine. There is a limited amount of system memory, you can also save to 3 1/2" floppy disks, or you can connect via serial port a computer and save to that.
    Good Luck,
