Talking Need Fadal Assistance in Englewood, CO

I've got a VMC40 but having trouble understanding the operation and programming (I've also got a Bridgeport clone CNC with conversational that has spoiled me). I am looking for someone that is knowledgeable with VMC's and is willing to spend a few hours hand-holding (that's a figure of speech!!). I can pay for reasonable time, travel.:drowning:

I'll tell you where I'm located if you'll tell me where you're located....

    ...or....

First odor of business, get manuals. Online or otherwise, you need the reference stuff or you'll go nuts. Like me. Only I have the books and I'm still nuts.

Use Format 1. Format 2 is more powerful. Format 1 is easier, more fun, and with the aid of CAD/CAM, you'll be fine.

Go to the Fadal forum under Metalworking Machines:

Neal will help out. He's actually nice, even if Fadal don't give him soup for lunch anymore (hey buddy, you got a bad deal on that one!).

Fadal's canned programs are stupid easy to learn and use. Powerful too. Fixed Subroutines (Section 6 in my manual) in the User Manual. I use Notepad a LOT, where I have a whole buncha cycles already put together...
....Cut and paste into a new Notepad, change your variables as needed, stick it together and into the machine. Voila! You can have a program in real short order for a lot of jobs.

If you need someone to hold your hand just to get the machine turned on and do a "cold start" ( CS), no problem. We can help.
