Chipcrazy the G71 cycle you are looking at is a roughing cycle and works like this. The U.05 in the first line is the depth of cut for each rough pass it will do, the R.05 in the first line is the retraction amount the tool will come off the material after each pass.

In the second line the P88 is a line number where the shape of the part you are attempting to turn starts, this can be any number you want (P123, P444, etc, what ever you choose) the Q99 is the line number of the last line of the finish shape you are attempting to do (works same as the P, you choose want you want and those line number N88 - N99 have to be in the program showing the finish shape of what you are turning).

The U.01 in the second line is the amount you are leaving for finish pass on the diameter, and the W.005 is the amount you are leaving in the Z-axis on a face or wall. And the F.005 is the feed rate in inches per revolution.
