    Which router bits/endmills to get??

I'm not certain about what kind of router bits I need in order to primarily cut hard/softwoods (foam too )

I have a Ported Cable 690 router with 1/4" and 1/2" collets. Precisebits.com seems to have a good selection.. Any recommendations for other suppliers?

Should I get a couple different bits for roughing and a couple bits for finishing? HSS or Carbide? ball end only?

I guess I want to order 3-4 bits that will allow my to tackle most projects.. inlays, curved contours, signs, etc.

    Checkout centuriontools.com.
They have several starter sets that may help. They are good quality solid carbide tools at a good price. You will want solid carbide for most CNC work.
What bit shapes to get depend a lot on what you will cut.
