    machine setup

    hi I am new to cnc, just wanted to see if anyone could help.
    for example lets say i bought a cnc ready sherline mill how would i go about connecting the machine to my computer and setting it up ready for action,
    would it be possible for me to do it or would i have o have someone set it up for me.

    Hello, Most CNC setups, including Sherlines are very easy to setup on your computer. The Sherline will come with a black box. This box contains the drivers to control the steppermotors. The same black box has a standard cable that connects to your computer. It will also come with software so you can upload cad drawings and jog the machine manually with the click of your mouse. You may need to buy a cad drawing program if you want to start machining actuall parts. But the setup of the machine will be very simple.
