    Determining Latency...Which #?

I'm going back over the numbers in my configuration and noticed my "Latency test result" was set to 24000ns. I re ran latency-test a couple of times with about 30 glxgears running in the background as well as firefox in the background...

Here are the numbers ... first just running glxgears and then adding in a firefox along with glxgears.

Which number is the latency test result, the servo or base thread max jitter?

It's an old Asus board (something like a 1.2GHz AMD processor... so old I don't even remember the model!

Nice results. Be careful try opening / closing windows, running with networks connected updating software etc. you may see a periodic jump in latency value which will translate in to a following error when machining. Also when setting your base period give yourself a bit of headroom. My system works well and consistently with a period of 30000ns.
