Mach2 should let you run 1000 lines of code.

My mach3 stops at 500 lines.
Its not that much of an issue, as 500 lines is a lot of code unless you are programming straight lines for arcs. If I need more than 500 lines, I break the code up into less than 500 line chunks and run 2,3 or 10 codes for the one job.
Mach3 is such a great program that when I can afford it (read when SWMBO is looking the other way) I will purchase it!

Just try EMC 2. It works great. They even have a live CD that will let you run it without installing anything.

I have ran both this and Mach 3. EMC2 will probably get you what you need if you are on such a tight budget.

Well that is the thing about the live CD. You don't have to install anything. You don't even need a hard drive in your computer, just a bootable CD-ROM drive.

The Linux environment will boot into memory and allow you to run EMC2 from there.

The only real catch is that your settings won't persist between reboots, but there are even ways around that.
