    Flattening

I used my probe to manually scan an outline of a part. Because the probe scans in 3d, I can't cleanup the lines. How do you go about flattening out a 3d outline to make it 2d and bring all the points to Z=0.

    I am running V23 build 1465.

    Thanks,

    Zach

    1. Draw a Rectangular Plane that is bigger than the scan data.
    2. Click on Other and select the Project Curves to Surfaces function.
    3. Select the shapes you want to Project and choose OK from the Right click menu.
    4. Click on the surface you created in Step 1. The system should then move the curves all onto that plane. They will be duplicate entities, so you will have to delete the old geometry when you are done.
