    Rubber way protector

So I glance behind the saddle of my knee mill and figure it's time to replace the rubber way protector since over the years it has many tears in it. Looking in McMaster-Carr I notice many different type of rubber sheeting listed.
Which would be the best for that kind of application?

There is also a thread here about fabricating your own out of folded denim of all things, if you can't find a suitable replacement anywhere else.

Not wide enough for a Hurco KM3P. I need 18 inches wide.

My first way covers were some leftover rubber roofing material that was .063" thick. The brand name was Carlyle I believe. I got it from a commercial roofing job site. At the time they also offered me probably a 150' by 8' roll of the same thing in white if I wanted it. I had already loaded my truck with steel that day, so had no room. I should have made two trips. This is good quality stuff pretty perfect for a flat cover.
This is the stuff I think.

    Scratch that last.
I just noticed this stuff is hard. That ain't what you want.
More something like this, but there goes the cost.

I fortunately found a wholesaler in the city I live.
I have also used leather hide, works well, you can often get scrap waste from upholstering plants.
